'Agriculture is the most useful and most noble employment of man' - These words by George Washington has made me envision an India that gives the farmer their rightful due and empower them with the optimum skills, knowledge and training. Being brought up in the nation where agriculture has employed more than 50% of workforce and contributes 17-18% in the GDP, there is no way that we can look beyond this agricultural industry.
We believe that with the correct set of knowledge, we can actually usher the farmers to a path of development and progress. And we believe that without the development of the agricultural industry, the nation can never develop.

So, what can be better than empowering these young minds with adequate skill set and training and making them aware about the harsh realities of farming so that they can bring about a revolution? With this vision, we laid the foundation of this dream named 'Swami Shri Prannath Parnami Agriculture College'.
We didn't just aim to open a college but wanted to bring an evolution to the way farming is practiced in the country. We aim to ensure that the future of agriculture sector gets brighter with each passing day. We witnessed a gap between the new technologies created by agricultural scientists and the age old practices employed by the farmers, with 'Swami Shri Prannath Parnami Agriculture College', we aim to bridge the gap. We wanted the youth to be a stakeholder in the agricultural industry and make it one of the most sought after industries in terms of jobs and career growth. But above all, we want to be able to touch the lives of our farmer brothers and add prosperity and growth to it.

Sriganganagar is a prestigious Agriculture district in the northwest region of the country. It is the grain and fiber bowl of the country where the fertile irrigated soil of the region is well suited for agricultural production. The agricultural scientists have developed technology for getting optimum yields of the different crops, but farmers have not been able to exploit these technologies in an optimum manner, due to the lack of knowledge. Therefore, it is the need of the hour to have an agriculture college to train and educate the rural youth of this region. With this objective, Swami Shri Prannath Parnami Agriculture College was set up. As the Principal of the faculty of Agriculture, I wish & assure to impart not just theoretical, but also practical education to the students.

Swami Sri Prannath Parnami Agricultural College is affiliated with the Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner. The aim of choosing Sri Ganganagar for this college is because of the wide physiographic variation including crops, cropping pattern, climate, and soil parameters. We envision creating new dimensions of learning for the students not just about Sri Ganganagar but on a pan-India level. We believe that these students possess immense power to write the future of the nation, so it becomes a duty for us to ensure that they attain immaculate knowledge and a multi-dimensional skill set through our course.
